Dear Juno Juno did what worked best for her and baby. So she did the right thing. Abortion should be the last option, but women should have the option to. It’s can be a horrible thing when unplanned pregnancies happen but it is not the end of the world. I think that Juno’s actions were mature but the way she carried herself and acted wasn’t. If you and your family support system are not ready to have and raise a kid then should you be able to have an abortion? Roe v Wade essentially means that any women can get an abortion anytime for any reason, w/ parent permission if under 18. This is a great thing because back ally abortions and the problems associated with them will plummet. This means there will be less horrible sad deaths of women in these unfortunate situations. If you take that right away you cause more unnecessary pain and suffering to not only pregnant women but all the families involved. The 14th amendment gives women, and everyone, the right to privacy. So this means women have the right to determine whether or not to bair a child. It is a weird situation tho like geib said where there’s two people involved and ones living inside the other. I don’t know when a baby’s a baby and not just cells, conception or weeks later. It’s a very subjective question that none of us definitively know the answer too. The government would be depriving the baby of life violating the 14th amendment but if they didn’t allow abortion they would be going against Roe v Wade and the 14th amendment. Abortion should be an option, and it should be an option that is critically thought about and not just something like getting a mole removed.
